Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are designed to replace one or several missing teeth in your mouth. They can look natural and are fitted to the part of the gums that are missing teeth, helping you eat and speak more comfortably. Acrylic
Our most affordable option, acrylic dentures, are easy to look after and maintain. These types of partial dentures are often secured by wire clips around natural teeth for retention. Wire clips are also called clasps and are made from orthodontic wire.
Valplast
Hamilton Dental & Prosthetics Lab are happy to offer Valplast, a brand of flexible dentures. Used as a temporary solution and made of nylon resin material, these dentures are thin, long-lasting, and available to customers across Waikato, NZ.
Chrome or Metal
Chrome or metal partial dentures are light, strong, and durable. They are comfortable in the mouth and the most long-lasting out of all partial denture types, meaning they offer better value for money. Chrome dentures have a metal framework, and because less surface area of your gums is covered, it is a healthier alternative.
Metal partial dentures are made out of metal alloy and are noted for their strength and durability. Metal frame dentures are more hygienic than acrylic, as they are less porous and therefore accumulate less plaque and tartar. This also makes them easier to clean.
In addition, metal dentures have high thermal conductivity, allowing you a better food and beverage experience. We highly recommend this material for dentures, as they offer the most accurate fit and have greater lifespans when taken care of correctly.
Full Dentures

They are typically made from acrylic or a combination of acrylic and metal, and because every mouth is different, they are custom-made for each individual. Full dentures, also known as complete dentures or false teeth, can be used to replace all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw or both.
